This is a superb and very old Japanese variety dating back to the 1780’s. Moshio means “flame” and is the perfect name for this fiery-red flowered Camellia. Semi double, medium sized flowers with prominent golden stamens during September and October. Grows to approx. 3m tall and 2m wide over 15 years. Morning sun to lightly dappled shade – needs protection from the hot summer sun. Well-composted and free draining soil.
